Reports have surfaced that Preston and Brentford are interested in signing Max Lowe from Derby. Hughes has nailed down the left back slot at Preston but it is rumoured that Alex Neil wanted to loan out Josh Earl for a season and therefore wanted to bring in competition for Hughes.
Derby appear to eant £2 million for the left back and so this would require some serious investment from Preston's perspective given it would break their transfer record for a left back.
The transfer window closes shortly and it is clear that Neil will want to add to his squad but it is unclear if Lowe is the right fit.
