In recent seasons Preston have had strong ties to Ireland with a number of players joining Preston from the League of Ireland. North End have also played in Ireland in pre-season in recent times.
This was the second match of pre-season where Neil fielded the majority of his squad with two different teams in each half. For the record Stockley scored in the first half whilst Ginnelly scored the second late on.
Harrop went off injured in the first half with a bang to his calf but it seemed only a precaution. The attacking midfielder has recently said that this season is a big one for him where he is looking to impress but he must first be injury free.
Preston will step up their preparations when they return from Ireland with furtehr friendlies lined up.
