Kiilkenny initially joined on loan from Bristol City before Christmas. His contract was then terminated at Ashton Gate allowing the midfielder to sign a short term deal at Preston until the end of the season.
The Australian has become a regular in the Preston side and was offered a two year deal. It is thought that the midfielder had offers from back home but he has now agreed to sign for Preston on a permanent basis.
