Lejsal Speaks Out

Lejsal was offered a trial towards the end of Darren Ferguson's reign and it is thought the club wanted to offer him a contract until the end of the season. This was on the basis that Henderson's career had bee ended by injury and the only other back up was Arestidou who had never played at Championship level.

Ferguson was keen to take the stopper to Peterborough after re-taking the managerial position at Posh. Lejsal has decided to take his career to Russia and has stated that he considered moving to Preston as an understudy but wanted first team football. He implied that there was a possibility that he could become Preston's number one next season because the club had informed him that Lonergan would be sold in the summer. How true this is no one actually knows.
