Preston played out a goalless draw at home to Burnley although it could easily have been a victory but for an officating error. Sinclair had a shot which replays showed was over the line but the officials failed to spot. Given it's a pre-season friendly we are happy to let that one go.
The team then travelled to play Sheffield United where Johnson and a last minute Stockley header ensured that the game ended all sqaure at 2-2. North End play away at Everton before the season then starts for real.
