Preston were meant to face Bolton at the neutral venue but due to ongoing trouble and uncertainty over finaces Bolton could not commit to the fixture. Accrington Stanley stepped in as a late replacement in a game that ended all square at one all.
Bauer scored his first goal for the club following a set piece routine which saw him get on the end of a Gallagher cross. The lead was short lived as Bishop headed home from close range to equalise.
Neil changed much of the team from the defeat against Southampton. It will be interesting to see how he splits his squad this weekend with a game on Friday away at Fleetwood followed by a home game against Newcastle on Saturday which will be the last in pre-season.
