Preston Limp Over The Line

A combination of injuries to key players, disinterest and perhaps a loss off form has resulted in a drab last month to the season which actually sees Preston finishing closer to Blackburn than the top six in terms of points.

Preston travelled to Wolves with nothing to play for after a horrendous run since the start of April. The game was over almost before it began with a fist minute header from Batth.

The home side managed to maintain their one goal lead as both teams head off into the sunshine. Grayson know nows that reinforcements are desperately needed when key players are out.

It is no coincidence that Preston suffered with Cunningham, Clarke and Pearson all missing recently. Norh End finished in the top half and have made some improvements in playing personnel but it will be a big ask to improve again.
