Ever since Preston's decline from a top six finish last season, manager Simpson has blamed a lack of moral in the squad caused by several individuals.

During the summer months he was hoping to move several of these players on but it appears they have been reluctant to go. After airing publicly that Jarrett and Nowland would never play for Preston again it seems that there maybe more than the duo who are troubling the boss.

On Saturday neither Jarrett nor Nowland had any influence on the pitch as several players put in a sub-standard performance. It is unknown out of the starting eleven who are to blame and surely they cannot just be dismissed with Simpson only having a small squad to begin with.

It has been said that over the next seven days these 'bad apples' on long term contracts will be paid up and shipped out of the club. For a start this will not help the financial situation of the club as well as leaving certain areas of the pitch a man or more light. the cheaper option as many fans are suggesting would now be to pay up the contract of the significant man - Paul Simpson and bring in someone with discilpline to create unity in the squad.
