There are no major surprises ont he list. Six players will be leaving the club for good although none actually featured for the club in the past 12 months.
Boyle, Vermijl, Pringle, Spurr, Howard and Stead were all out of contract this summer and new deals will unsurprisingly not be offered. Most had advanced notice with loan deals being struck up throughout the season.
Nmecha and Barker have returned to Manchester City. It will be interesting to see what appens to the pair. Barker had a frustrating time with injury but showed glimpses of talent. Nmecha took a long time to adapt and was forced out onto the wing int he second half of the season.
Burke, Simpson and Maxwell will all return to the club from loan but it is uncertain what will happen to the trio. Preston now have several keepers so Maxwell may find his future lies elsewhere.
Jack Armer has also been offered professional terms and will hope to break into the first team squad for the upcoming season.
