A centre half from Belgium interested Simpson greatly but too high an asking price has meant the defender returned to his club.
The centre midfielder was a youngster from America. He has just finished his college education and wishes to pursue a career in football. He played in last week's behind door games and was set to play today but there were complications with his paperwork and so he has had to return home to the States. He is set to return to Deepdale next week where he is looking to sign a deal.
