The fictures are coming thick and fast after the international break so Alex Neil tinkered with his side. Browne was given a start in midfield whilst Potts also started out wide.

It was a tight game with both sides sitting in the top six. Neither goalkeeper was troubled althought he visitors had the better of the possession and looked more comfortable ont he ball.

The best chance of the game actually fell to Leeds with the game still goalless. A ball was cut back from the right hand side into the box. There were seevral attackers waiting but the ensuing shot was sliced horribly wide.

Moments later Preston took the elad with their first effort on goal. Maguire was on as a substitute for Nugent and he provided pace to the attack. A staright ball down the sidelines saw Maguire win a foot race. He crossed with the aid of a deflection and Barkhuizen tapped home.

Preston could not hold out as Nketiah who was also on as a subsititute headed home for Leeds. The teams shared a point and both remain in a congested top six.

North End now face Blackburn at home on Saturday in a derby game where Preston will be hopeful of maintaining their unbetaen home record. Leeds were undoubtedly the toughest team Preston have faced at Deepdale this season but now they must move on quickly to the next game.
